Reuters has deployed a team of more than 30 reporters, videographers, and photographers to the United Nations COP26 conference in Glasgow, Scotland, providing extensive coverage of the event – from the ground and as it happens – to customers worldwide.

Reuters was the first news agency on the scene at the U.N. climate change conference, which started on October 31. Since then, its fast, trusted, accurate and impartial news and insights have been used by almost its entire subscriber base.

Responding rapidly to the comings and goings of the conference, Reuters journalists captured key moments including live coverage of Swedish teenage activist Greta Thunberg marching through the streets of Glasgow with thousands of young campaigners demanding urgent action from world leaders to stave off climate change.

Coverage from Reuters also included targeted features showing the impact of climate change in different parts of the world, as well as multiple explainers and historic moments to provide extra context and depth to its reporting.

Simon Robinson, Global Managing Editor, News Publishing at Reuters said: "Climate change is one of the biggest stories of our time. The depth and breadth of coverage Reuters can provide from the COP26 conference means we're able to illuminate the discussion like never before - and help our customers and audiences around the world understand what's at stake, the potential for solutions, and how they too can make a difference."

Reuters is committed to delivering world-leading climate coverage to billions of people every day. Leveraging the deep expertise of 2,500 journalists in 200 locations, Reuters produces hundreds of videos and thousands of pictures and text stories every year on climate change and the environment.
