Britain marked Queen Elizabeth's record-breaking 70 years on the throne last week with a weekend of pageantry and celebrations - from military parades and a church service to street parties and a live concert outside Buckingham Palace.

Across four days, Reuters journalists captured comprehensive live footage in London, reaching an audience in the hundreds of millions as people from all over the world tuned in to witness the historic occasion.

Hundreds of TV channels globally ran live video from Reuters, while well over 1000 broadcasters used one or more pieces of Reuters video content in their coverage. Some of the most popular footage included: The Queen's Birthday Parade (Trooping the Colour); the Queen waving to cheering crowds amassed outside Buckingham Palace and Prince Charles honouring her at the palace concert.

Reuters camera operator Gerhard Mey shot one of the most iconic moments when the royal family appeared on the balcony at Buckingham Palace. "Covering a big royal event is always special, but the Queen's Jubilee felt even more so.  As soon as the royal family appeared on the balcony, all you could hear was a huge roar of excitement from the crowd behind. But I had to focus on capturing the moment then and there, whilst making split second decisions on how to frame and monitor all members of the family for any reactions."

Alongside footage of the official celebrations, Reuters also delivered comprehensive coverage across text and images, including: numerous picture galleries of beacons being lit up around the world and memorable moments from the Queen's Jubilee concert; congratulations and reactions from international leaders; a Factbox on the details of the celebrations, as well as on notable quotes of the Queen; and analysis on how the Jubilee gave a boost to the country's beleaguered hospitality and retail sectors.
